 How to Enable Javascript?

The GothicNet web site uses JavaScript and therefore requires JavaScript to be enabled in your browser. The following describes how to enable JavaScript for the Netscape and Internet Explorer browsers. Other browsers should feature similar options.


Internet Explorer 6.x
  1. Select the "Internet Options..." menu item in the "Tools" menu.
  2. Click on the "Security" tab at the top of the Internet Options window that pops up.
  3. From the list of zones at the top of the Security options select the internet icon.
  4. Select the button near the bottom that reads "Custom Level".
  5. In the new window that pops up, scroll down to the item that reads "Active
  6. Scripting".
  7. Select the option marked "Enable".
  8. Click on the "OK" button at the bottom of the Security Settings window.
  9. Click on the "OK" button at the bottom of the Internet Options window.

Internet Explorer 5.x
  1. Select the "Internet Options..." menu item in the "Tools" menu.
  2. Click on the "Security" tab at the top of the Internet Options window that pops up.

  5. In the new window that pops up, scroll down to the item that reads "Active Scripting".
  6. Select the option marked "Enable".
  7. Click on the "OK" button at the bottom of the Security Settings window.
  8. Click on the "OK" button at the bottom of the Internet Options window.

Internet Explorer 4.x
  1. Select the "Internet Options..." menu item in the "View" menu.
  2. Click on the "Security" tab at the top of the Internet Options window that pops up.

  5. In the new window that pops up, scroll down to the item that reads "Active Scripting".
  6. Select the option marked "Enable".

Netscape 6.1
  1. Select the "Preferences..." menu item in the "Edit" menu.
  2. Click on the "Advanced" label displayed in the list of options on the left hand side of the Preferences window that pops up.
  3. On the right hand side select the checkbox marked "Enable Javascript for Navigator".
  4. Click on the "OK" button at the bottom of the Preferences window.

Netscape 4.x
  1. Select the "Preferences..." menu item in the "Edit" menu.
  2. Click on the "Advanced" label displayed in the list of options on the left hand side of the Preferences window that pops up.
  3. On the right hand side select the checkbox marked "Enable Javascript".
  4. Click on the "OK" button at the bottom of the Preferences window.
